浙江省位于中国东南沿海，长江三角洲南翼。陆域面积10.55万平方千米，西南以山地为主，中部以丘陵为主，东北是低平的冲积平原，有“七山一水二分田”之说。海域面积26万平方公里，海岸线总长6500公里，拥有海岛4300余个，是中国岛屿最多的省份。
浙江省会杭州，全省辖杭州、宁波2个副省级城市，温州、湖州、嘉兴、绍兴、金华、衢州、舟山、台州、丽水9个地级市，37个市辖区、20个县级市、33个县（其中一个自治县）。常住人口 6627 万人。
作为中国革命红船起航地、改革开放先行地、习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想重要萌发地，浙江以约占全国4.7%的人口，在全国1.1%的土地上，创造了全国6.55%的经济总量和15.0%的外贸出口。
Zhejiang Province is located on the south-east coast of China along the southern part of the Yangtze River Delta. The province covers a land mass of 105,500 sq. km, dominated by a mountainous area in the southwest, a hilly area in the middle, and a low and flat alluvial plain in the northeast. The province is said to have 70% of its territory as hills, 10% as water bodies, and 20% as cultivated land. The province has a sea area of 260,000 sq. km, and a coastline of 6,500 km. Zhejiang boasts more than 4,300 islands, making it a province with the largest number of islands in the country.
The province is divided into 2 sub-provincial cities (Hangzhou, the provincial capital, and Ningbo), 9 prefecture-level cities (Wenzhou, Huzhou, Jiaxing, Shaoxing, Jinhua, Quzhou, Zhoushan, Taizhou and Lishui), 37 districts, 20 county-level cities, and 33 counties (including one autonomous county). The permanent resident population was 66.27 million.
As the cradle of China’s revolutionary “Red Boat” cause, the pioneer of Reform and Opening-up, and an important birthplace of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Zhejiang contributed 6.55% of the national GDP and 15% of the national export, with 1.1% of the country’s land and 4.7% of the country’s population.
浙江产业结构独特、产业链完整，以轻工业、制造业为主导产业，同时在新兴领域如人工智能、大数据等方面也有不俗表现。浙江正在加快打造“415X”先进制造业集群（即：新一代信息技术、高端装备、现代消费与健康、绿色石化与新材料等4个万亿级先进产业群。新能源汽车及零部件、智能光伏、智能电气等15个千亿级特色产业群。第三代半导体、基因工程、前沿新材料等一批具有技术领先性和国际竞争力的百亿级新星产业群）。装备制造、纺织服装、五金制品等传统优势产业经历了转型升级，在全省范围内制造业布局得到进一步优化，正迈向集群式、高端化发展。
Zhejiang has a unique industrial structure and a complete industrial chain, with light industry and manufacturing as its leading sectors. The province also performs remarkably well in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and big data. Zhejiang is accelerating the development of "415X" advanced manufacturing clusters which include: 4 trillion-level advanced manufacturing clusters in new-generation information technology, high-end equipment, modern consumption and health, green petrochemicals and new materials. 15 hundred-billion-level distinctive industrial clusters in new energy vehicles and components, intelligent photovoltaic, and smart intelligent electric. And a group of 10-billion-level nova industry clusters with leading technology and international competitiveness in third-generation semiconductors, genetic engineering, and advanced new materials. The traditional advantageous industries such as equipment manufacturing, textile and garment, hardware products, have undergone transformation and upgrading, leading to a further optimized manufacturing layout across the province and advancing toward a more clustered and high-end development.
